Let's talk rules.
Effective date: 5 September 2026 · Last updated: 5 September 2026
These Terms & Conditions govern your use of Bad Art Battle and your participation in the competition. They are provided for general information and do not constitute legal advice.
01. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using badartbattle.com and related services (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms & Conditions and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
02. About Bad Art Battle
Bad Art Battle is a global competition in which participants create intentionally low-skill (“bad”) artwork in response to a weekly challenge and compete for prizes.
The Service is operated by Saat Phere India.
03. Eligibility
You may use the Service only if you can form a binding contract with us and are not barred from doing so under applicable law. The minimum age to participate is 7 years. Where a participant is a minor under the law that applies to them, a parent or guardian must agree to these Terms and manage their participation.
You are responsible for ensuring that entering a paid competition and receiving prizes is lawful where you live.
04. Account / Participant Information
To enter, you may need to provide participant information such as a display name and a means of contacting you. You are responsible for the accuracy of this information and for activity associated with your participation.
Do not impersonate other people or use a name you are not entitled to use.
05. Entering a Battle
Each battle has a challenge, an entry window and a deadline. To enter, submit your artwork through the Service before the deadline and pay the entry fee.
Entries submitted after the deadline, or that do not meet the submission rules, may be rejected.
06. Entry Fees
The current entry fee is the amount shown at checkout for the battle you are entering (currently ₹29 per entry). You must pay a separate entry fee for each entry.
All entry fees are non-refundable. Once an entry fee has been paid it will not be refunded, including where an entry is later withdrawn by you. Fees, currencies and accepted payment methods may change for future battles.
07. Artwork Submission Rules
Unless a challenge states otherwise, artwork should be created on A5-size paper using non-digital media such as pencil, pen, paint, markers or crayons, and submitted as a photograph or scan.
Submissions must clearly respond to the current challenge. We may set additional format requirements for a given battle.
08. Originality and Prohibited Content
You must be the sole creator of your submission and must own or control all rights needed to submit it. Do not submit work that is copied or traced, or that uses another person's work without permission.
Submissions must not contain unlawful, infringing, defamatory, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit or exploitative material, or content that violates the rights or privacy of others.
09. AI-Generated Artwork
Artwork generated using artificial-intelligence tools is not permitted. Submissions must be made by hand, by you.
We may disqualify any entry we reasonably believe was created using AI or otherwise breaches the originality rules. We do not represent that every submission is checked or that all violations will be detected.
10. Voting
Voting is part of the competition process and lets participants and visitors rate entries.
You must not manipulate voting, use bots or automation, create fake or multiple accounts, buy or sell votes, or otherwise attempt to influence results unfairly. We may discard votes and take further action where we detect or suspect abuse.
11. Judging and Winner Selection
Unless the official rules for a battle state otherwise, results are currently determined by a combination of community voting and judges' scoring, weighted approximately 30% community vote and 70% judges' score.
Judging criteria, weightings and the identity of judges may vary between battles and will be described on the relevant battle page or in these Terms.
12. Prize Pool and Prizes
Each battle has a prize pool. The amounts, the way the pool is funded, and how it is allocated between winners are determined by these Terms and the prize-tier percentages published on the Service, which may change before a battle begins.
Prize figures shown in the Service are calculated automatically from the prize-tier percentages published on the Service and the entry fees actually collected for that battle, and may change until a battle closes.
13. Winner Verification and Payment
Before a prize is paid, a winner may be required to complete verification. This may include confirming identity and eligibility, confirming that the submitted artwork is their own, and providing information needed to make payment and to meet legal or tax requirements.
Prizes are paid after successful verification. You are responsible for any taxes that apply to a prize you receive. We aim to pay verified prizes within a reasonable time of verification and will communicate specific timing directly to winners.
14. Disqualification
We may disqualify an entry or participant, withhold or reclaim a prize, and suspend or terminate access, if we reasonably believe there has been a breach of these Terms or the rules for a specific challenge, or any fraud, manipulation or other conduct that undermines the integrity of the competition.
15. User Content
"User Content" means anything you submit to the Service, including artwork, titles, descriptions and messages. You remain responsible for your User Content.
You must not submit User Content that you do not have the right to submit.
16. Public Display of Entries
By entering, you understand and agree that your entry and associated information intended for public display — such as your username, artwork, title, description, and voting or ranking information — may be shown publicly on the Service.
This includes battle pages, the gallery, voting screens, leaderboards, winner pages and related product and promotional surfaces.
17. Intellectual Property
You keep the rights you hold in your own artwork. To run the competition and display entries as described above, we need certain permissions to host, display and promote User Content in connection with the Service.
By submitting an entry, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce and publicly display your User Content on the Service — including on battle pages, the gallery, leaderboards and winner pages — for the purpose of operating and promoting the competition within the Service. This licence lasts for as long as your entry remains part of the Service.
The Service itself — including its design, text, graphics and software, but excluding User Content — is owned by Saat Phere India or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws.
18. Prohibited Conduct
When using the Service you must not: break the law or these Terms; infringe the rights of others; upload harmful code; scrape, overload or interfere with the Service; attempt to gain unauthorised access; misrepresent your identity; or manipulate entries, votes or results.
19. Third-Party Services
The Service may rely on or link to third-party services, including payment providers and hosting and communication tools.
Those services are governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for them.
20. Website Availability
We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free.
We may modify, suspend or discontinue all or part of the Service, including a battle, at any time.
21. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
We do not warrant any particular result, ranking or prize outcome.
22. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Saat Phere India and its officers, employees and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages, or for loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
23. Changes to the Rules
We may update these Terms and the rules for a specific challenge from time to time. Material changes will be indicated by updating the effective date and, where appropriate, by additional notice.
Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept them.
24. Termination
We may suspend or end your access to the Service at any time if you breach these Terms, or to protect the Service or other users. You may stop using the Service at any time.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.
25. Governing Law / Jurisdiction
These Terms, and any dispute arising from them or from the Service, are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
Courts of competent jurisdiction in India will have jurisdiction over any such dispute, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
26. Contact
