This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and share information when you use Bad Art Battle. It is a general description of our intended practices and is provided for information only — it does not constitute legal advice.
01. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how Saat Phere India ("Bad Art Battle", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses and shares information when you visit badartbattle.com or take part in the competition (together, the "Service").
It applies alongside our Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Service.
02. Information We Collect
We collect information in three broad ways: information you provide to us directly, information generated when you use the Service (such as entries, votes and results), and limited information we receive from third parties such as payment providers.
We aim to collect only what we need to run the competition, display entries and pay prizes.
03. Information You Provide
This includes the participant details you choose to give us — for example a display name or username, and a way to contact you if that is required to administer entries or prizes.
It also includes your competition entries, any titles or descriptions you add, and messages you send us. Payment details are entered with our payment provider and are not stored in full by us.
04. Artwork and Public Profile Information
When you submit an entry, some information is intended to be displayed publicly on the Service — for example on battle pages, the gallery, voting screens, leaderboards and winner pages.
Depending on the features available, this may include your public username, your submitted artwork, an artwork title and description, a country or region if you provide one, and voting or ranking information linked to your entry.
Only include information in these fields that you are comfortable showing publicly. Public content may be viewed, cached or copied by other users and third parties, and may remain visible after a battle ends.
05. How We Use Information
We use information to operate and administer battles; to display entries, votes and results; to process entry fees and prize payments; to verify winners; to communicate with you about your entries, results and the Service; to keep the Service secure and prevent fraud or abuse; to comply with legal obligations; and to improve the Service.
06. Voting and Competition Activity
We process information about votes, scores, rankings and related competition activity in order to run the competition and determine results.
We may use this information to detect and prevent vote manipulation, automated voting, duplicate accounts and other activity that unfairly influences results.
07. Payments and Transactions
Entry fees and prize payments may be processed through third-party payment providers. When you make or receive a payment, your payment information is provided to and handled by those providers under their own terms and privacy notices.
Entry fees are processed by Razorpay. We receive limited transaction information from them — such as confirmation of payment, an order reference and a payment reference — to administer entries and prizes. We never receive or store your full card details.
08. Cookies and Similar Technologies
The Service may use cookies, local storage and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, keep the Service secure, and understand how the Service is used.
You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work correctly without them. A separate cookie notice may be provided where required by law.
09. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers who help us operate the Service (such as hosting, payment processing and communications) under appropriate confidentiality obligations.
We share publicly-intended information with other users and visitors as described in section 04. We may disclose information to authorities or other parties where we believe it is required by law, or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety or the integrity of the competition.
If our business is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
10. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures intended to protect information against unauthorised access, loss or misuse.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Data Retention
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the Service, administer competitions and prizes, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.
Public competition entries and results may remain visible after a battle ends. We do not keep personal information for longer than is necessary for the purposes described in this policy, after which it is deleted or anonymised where reasonably practicable.
12. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal information, to object to certain processing, or to receive a copy of certain information.
Where that functionality is available, you can update some information directly through your account. To make a request, contact us using the details in section 17. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
13. Children's Privacy
Participation is subject to the minimum age of 7 years set out in our Terms & Conditions. Where a participant is a minor under the law that applies to them, a parent or guardian should manage their participation and any account details.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below that age. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
14. International Users
The Service is intended for a global audience. Information may be processed and stored in countries other than the one in which you live, where data-protection laws may differ.
Where required, we take steps intended to ensure appropriate protection for international transfers of information.
15. Third-Party Services
The Service may link to or rely on third-party websites and services, including payment providers and social platforms.
Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy notices, and we are not responsible for their practices.
16. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
